Press release: Wild&Slow2016 at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village

Slow Food Ireland is delighted to announce that Wild&Slow2016, its unique biennial Wild Foods Festival celebrating all that is good about Ireland’s unique wild game and wild foods will take place this 12th & 13th of November at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village, Co. Wicklow.

Wild&Slow is now Europe’s largest Wild Foods Festival and is dedicated solely to the education and conservation of our wonderful Irish wild foods heritage. It falls at a perfect time of year with the closing of the wild food harvesting season and the opening of our wild game season.

As with all Slow Food Events, Wild&Slow is powered with the huge voluntary assistance of its members and friends.

Wild&Slow2014, attracted over 5,300 to its unique Wild Foods Street Market, 1,950 people attended over 25 Wild Foods WorkShops and as always the unique Wild Food Dinner sold out!

Wild&Slow2016 promises to be no different…just with more Wild Foods Stalls at the Street Market, more Wild Foods WorkShops, but unfortunately still the same amount of places available for the unique Wild Food Dinner!

Here’s a unique opportunity to enjoy and graze at the Wild Foods Street Market, warming your hands at the wood braziers, tasting a mulled elderberry wine, filling a bag full of goodies to take home and learning everything there is to know about wild Irish foods by attending as many Wild Foods Workshops as possible over the two days.

Wild&Slow2016: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th of November from 12pm – 7pm

at BrookLodge & Macreddin Village, Co. Wicklow.
