Good Luck & Shamrocks
I got my new haul from Simon Says Stamp the other day, and I have to admit that while it’s fun to shop for new goodies to try out, it’s even more fun to open the box. It’s kinda like a tiny encapsulated crafty Christmas, isn’t it? 🙂
I decided that the first card I was going to post would be this one. It seemed fitting, since this is the first post on my blog and I figured a little luck wouldn’t hurt.
I’ve taken a bunch of classes at Online Card Classes (which are pretty darn good, by the way), and one of the cards that was featured in the latest Christmas class used this cherry wood veneer paper & metal dies to create a faux inlay look. I find the results from this technique absolutely stunning, so I’ve been die cutting veneer ever since!
